With the victory, the Tigers (14-7, 8-7 SEC) celebrated their first win at the OConnell Center in five visits, snapped their streak of three straight midweek losses and captured another valuable Quad 1 victory for their NCAA Tournament credentials. With one regular-season game left, Saturdays visit from Louisiana State, the Tigers can earn the No. 5 seed in next weeks SEC tournament with a victory but wont fall any farther than the No. 8 seed with a loss.
