Michigan reported 5,530 new COVID-19 cases and 69 additional deaths on Saturday, April 17, according to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Of the 69 deaths reported Saturday, 60 were identified during a vital records review, which takes place three times a week.
The new cases reported Saturday now bring the states confirmed case total to 785,307. The states total death count due to COVID-19 is 16,840.
